Evil Dead Burn has been in theaters for a few days now, so horror fans have been able to process how it compares to the rest of the Evil Dead franchise. Since I’m a horror fan, that means that I have processed my thoughts, as well! My general outlook on the Evil Dead franchise is that, compared to Scream or Paranormal Activity or any other horror franchise out there, I would gladly accept a new entry in this series every few years, even if I don’t love it. The joy of the concept is that it’s not specifically attached to one narrative or one character or one filmmaker, so the weirder the spin on the premise, the better.
